Currie, who was born in Vancouver, spent five years trying to launch his acting career in Los Angeles. He is now based in New York and finds himself frequently working in Canada on TV and film projects. He has just finished shooting a co-starring role as a Clint Eastwoodish drifter in the independent American movie, Ripe, on location in South Carolina. Currie played a 25-year-old motorcycle rider who arrives in a small town, takes a part-time job at a military base and hooks up with 14-year-old twin sisters, one of whom dotes on him.
